We care about providing alternative options to individuals who are unable to financially afford expensive eyeglasses. Many individuals within the homeless population struggle to get help because they can't see. To be able to perform work duties safely and appropriately, one must be able to see what they're doing. Many individuals are unaware of the fact that they cannot see 20/20. Many patients tell us they can see just fine with their old prescriptions, but once they're given their new eyeglasses, it's like night and day for them. Imagine living on the street and never knowing what perfect vision even looks like. When everyday is a blur, it makes it difficult to want to get up and do anything, yet alone try to maintain a job. Your old eyeglasses can make a powerful impact to change the lives of those around you. These individuals have the opportunity to one day turn their lives around, to one day become a contributing member of our society because of your contributions.

Your eyeglass donations will be processed and sorted to be repaired, and useable parts will be used to create useable pairs. We are a vendor for a Northern CA Community College District building the Optical Technology curriculum. Your broken eyeglasses will be used for students learning to repair eyeglasses. All lenses will have the prescriptions verified. Eyeglass prescriptions that pass inspection and are within tolerance according to ANSI Standards will be dispensed to members of our community.

We believe in making a difference within our own community. There are many programs dedicated towards providing vision to other countries, and that's wonderful, but we see the effects of individuals within our community who struggle with their vision on an everyday basis. Your donations will be dispensed to all low income and homeless individuals within the northern CA region, including Placer County, Sacramento County, Yolo County, Napa County, Contra Costa County, Alameda County, Santa Clara County, Marin County, and San Francisco County, will all have the ability to get prescription eyeglasses made.

All ophthalmic eyeglasses can be donated! Even if there are no lenses in your ophthalmic frames, we can reuse the frame. Have lenses only? That's okay too! As long as they aren't saw dust, we can use them!

Yes, we encourage you to donate whatever you can. The broken glasses will be used to teach students how to repair eyeglasses. The parts can always be reused!

Contact us directly so that we can help your clients work towards better vision. We will work with you to coordinate eye examinations with a Medi-Cal Provider. Using that prescription, we will be able to make prescription eyeglasses for your clients.
